romney tried to dance away from his own record in the debate. he danced around on taxes, he danced around on medicaid. he even danced around on his own health insurance plan. >> the other night he said he'd repeal obama care as soon as he took office and then he backtracked and said, no, wait. at least i'll make sure to cover folks with pre-existing conditions. and then i've explained, well, actually, your plan doesn't do that. and then his campaign had to come out and say, actually, that's not true. our plan wouldn't do that. so governor romney was fact checked by his own campaign. that's right. that's right. >> romney got fact checked by his own campaign. it's pretty clear now that romney has backed himself into a corner and president obama tinds to keep him there. joining me now, dana milbank and erin mcpike. thanks for coming on the show. >> reverend. >> thank you. >> dana, did mitt romney leave himself open to some attacks? >> well, just a little bit, ref renld. i think if he continues on this trajectory, by the last debate, he's going to b
